Juan Chioran was the voice of Barry Bullevardo in the animated children's series Iggy Arbuckle. His name is sometimes spelled as Juan Chiorian or Juan Chorian.


Chioran was born in Argentina, but moved to Toronto, Ontario with his parents in 1975.[1] He attended York University, before attending the University of Alberta. There, he graduated with a B.F.A. in Dramatic Arts.[1]

He met his wife, Jacklyn Francis, at the Blyth Festival in Ontario in 1995.[1] As of February, 2009, he has been performing at the Stratford Festival in Stratford, Ontario, Canada for ten years.[1]

Awards and nominationsEdit

In 2000, Chioran won the Gemini award for Best Performance in a Performing Arts Program or Series, for his role as Count Dracula in Dracula: A Chamber Musical (2000).[2] He was nominated for a 2007 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for "The Three Musketeers" at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater in Chicago, Illinois.[1]
